Honey Drip by Ian McCulloch the David Allan Becker edit
Переглядів 2243 роки тому
I letterboxed "Honey Drip" by Ian McCulloch so it's widescreen (16:9). The audio was so loud that it was clipped which ruined my listening experience. I deamplified the recording to about half of the original level and the overamplified clipped portions were restored and the entire recording is now within what is considered a normal level. At about the 3 1/2 minute mark he repeats the chorus fo...

I am also one who found this video by "accident," simply by leaving my "Autoplay" button on, which allowed whatever the next video was in the line-up of UA-cam postings to appear. Thank you for this wonderful posting. I was working on a small, fun project just using a pencil and paper that didn't require a lot of concentration, so I was able to give my full attention to Paul Lynde's comedic comebacks. It's kind of nice spending a Sunday afternoon "just laughing it up!" Thank you for the joy that you are giving so many people through this posting. (08/18/24)

His persona reminds me of Jack Tripper too. Wonder if Paul influenced the character.

I remember he was asked. If you and a friend were in the jungle and your friend was bitten by a snake, what would you do. Paul responded "Get a new friend". Hilarious.

I've never figured out why they didn't allow Jolson to play himself in the Jolson semi-biographic movies. Even when he died in 1950, he looked years younger than his 64 years and, with makeup, could have convincingly played most parts in those movies, except the very youngest character parts, such as the one played by Scotty Beckett (lip synching Rudy Wissler's voice).

this is hilarous - the real story of al jolson would be wonderful even today - he was a world class egotist - i loved these 2 movies as a kid and the music pretty great of course but he was totally miscast - love the overbearing judgmental parents i want a minkcoat like that

Remakes are always a dicey proposition. So after seeing Park's masterpiece, I had a dim view of this idea... but I was dead wrong. While it lacked the greatness of the initial film, this one was imminently watchable, all due to the marvelous cast and great writing, especially how they used Larry Parks to play Jolson, all over again. This wonderful picture was made the year I was born, and what a great birthday gift it was. Thanks for posting.

Absolutely the best actor/comedian in his time. He played in many movies and sitcoms with other big stars, but he was the one who really made the movies a hit. Does anyone remember him on Bewitched? ❤❤❤❤❤
